How To Have a Pain Free Natural Water Birth
One of the reasons that natural water birth has gained popularity is that it causes the perineum to become elastic and soften reducing the chance of tearing or needing of a episiotomy. This is especially beneficial to women who've had a tear or a episiotomy in prior births. Another bonus to having a water birth is that the warm water can be very relaxing and comforting to the laboring mother. This has shown to reduce stress hormones allowing endorphins to surge while blocking out pain.Though having a water birth can't guarantee a promise of a completely pain free labor and delivery. There are things you can do and practice to help prepare your body and mind to take the edge off. Here are 5 ways you can bring baby earth side with ease.

1. Find a comfortable position
The great thing about a birth pool is that they come in many different sizes, shapes and all sorts of great features. Some have inflatable seats, pillows and handles to hold onto that all offer a way for Mom to easily find a comfortable position to labor and deliver in.

2. Applying hot or cold compress

3. Focus on breathing Baby down
